10 Very Creative Mugs You Should Be Drinking From

I’m forever seeing inspirational posts across the design community showcasing print design, and although I love those posts I thought it was time for something a little different – this is where mugs come into it! Below you will find 10 creative mug designs that, lets be honest, are a lot more interesting than the normal “ordinary” mug.

You can click on the images to view (and buy!) the mugs online!

Searching for a funny gift to offer for someone special.

Here is a normal boring old mug that costs £1 from one of the most expensive shops in England (John Lewis):

Here are some mugs you should replace your boring mugs with:

1. Mr Lick Mug from Find-Me-A-Gift

A great little mug that made me smile, should have a place in everybody’s cupboards!

2. Pantone Mug from John Lewis (and various other places!)

A classic designers mug, available in lots of different Pantone colours, and available in sets!

4. I’m Not A Paper Cup from Amazon

A mug that looks like a paper cup, much more environmentally friendly – although I’d be scared it would get thrown away!

5. My Cuppa Mugs from Firebox

For the fussy drinkers out there, this mug is available in both tea and coffee out there and helps you get the colour of your cuppa just right!

9. Skase Teacup Set by Steve Watson

Maybe this ones not so practical as you’d have to carry around the wooden base everywhere you go, but damn it looks good!

10. Punch Mug from Design Boom

This mug was inspired by a knuckleduster and fits perfectly into almost everyone’s fist.

I’m watching a program on BBC Two at the moment called Design For Life with famous product designer Philippe Starck – it’s making me pay more attention to the everyday objects around me, so if you like this post and find it helps and inspires you with graphic design, please let me know and there will be more like it in the future!

Thanks for a great compilation – very honoured that the Mocha Dunk Mug was included in your top 10. Just to let you know the mug is no longer being sold by Firebox but is available direct from the Mocha website as well as several other online retailers.
