Circlebox Debate - What was your most productive design-related Christmas present this year?

With Christmas just gone I thought this weeks debate question would be quite a cool one! Make sure you answer in depth. Design related presents could be virtually anything! Great books, colorful mugs (they could be permanent inspiration!), software, computer accessories… Something that makes your life easier when designing, and why it makes your life easier. So here’s the question, GO GO GO!

What was your most productive design-related Christmas present this year?

When answering, why not list all your design-related gifts, then choose your most productive one? If someone posts something you don’t think is the most productive, tell us why! Maybe we can make incredibly early Christmas lists for next year!

I’ll let you know my answer when I know what I’ve got, I’m writing this the day before Christmas! Hope you had a good one!

Since my gifts are coming for New Year, I still haven’t received mine :) But if my hints were heard one of them gonna be a new mouse for the notebook… As the specification says “…ideal for designers”

I got quite of great gifts! Bits and bobs for moving out, socks, boxers, scarf, hat, trainers, chocolate, notepad, Wacom Bamboo tablet and a magazine subscription Computer Arts… The tablet has to be the most productive but the magazine most definitely helps fuel the creativity!

My most productive design gifts were a couple of awesome books by Ellen Lupton: DIY Design It Yourself and Thinking with Type. And with a bit of Xmas money I’m going to buy her other book Indie Publishing, too. (Lupton is the head of the graphic design MFA program at Maryland Institute College of Art.)

My most productive gift would be the New Unibody Macbook White and Sexy Web Design by Elliot Jay Stocks.

Whats the Bamboo Tablet like. I have the Bamboo one – picked up for £30 in August and its pretty good :)

I got it from WHSmith at the time they were having a sale. Ebuyer have some good deals on the tablets and of course the good old Amazon too!

I got a Wacom Art Pen for my Intuos 4. I love finally having barrel rotation built into the pen.

I wish the Intuos4 had the same touch like interface as the new Bamboo. How do you like it?
